You'd have to pay me and pay me well to shop on Black Friday. I'd be afraid I'd hurt somebody. :wah:

I AM SO VERY PROUD OF MYSELF!!!
I did it. I really did it. I actually bought a Christmas present BEFORE Thanksgiving for once. And it was something that I KNOW will be all gone by the week before Christmas. (When I usually get motivated enough to brave the crowds.)
I got my wife a "guitar hero" kit. We like to play videogames together, (Not the usual occupation for a grandmother and grandfather, eh?) and she surprised me when she totally took to a Guitar Hero demo. Now, all I have to do is get another wireless controller, a microphone, and a drum kit and we can have some real FUN on New Year's at our party! (I'm kind of worried because I have to have elbow surgery right before Christmas break, and that'll stifle the fun a bit.)
But anyway, I get to feel smug about beating the rush, and stupid because I usually criticize people who start Christmas too early... all at the same time.:yh_silly

Yup! I do some shopping online too. Some cool stores, like this one:
Turner Classic Movie Store
Buy Classic DVD or VHS Movies, Books & Movie Memorabilia Online from TCM
and this one:
Bit and Pieces: Puzzles, Mind Games, and Unique gifts
Bits And Pieces - The Source for Clever Puzzles and Intriguing Gifts for 25 years!
Don't even exist anywhere except online. I especially like the puzzle store, you guys need to check it out.

I made my car appointment at the dealership for its 60,000 checkup that morning. The guy thought I was funny, he asked me why I wouldn't be out shopping? :wah:

No way...I live off a frontage road that goes to a mall that is really close to me. I don't even think about leaving my house that day. Plus, I HATE crowds! :-5

Wednesday before Thanksgiving is normally our heaviest insertion load in our mailroom. This year the folks that produce the inserts that are supposed to be kept quiet until that distribution date are actively trying to find the person or persons who forwarded on to Black Friday 2009 | Black Friday Deals | Ads Black Friday .com the electronic version of tons of flyers..
It's kinda like getting handed an unwrapped present - the excitement of the hunt is gone..
