Requiem for the Banned

In another thread Mikeinie was lamenting the passing of Sexy Angel, who he'd met too late, and not even had a chance to say g'day to. This got my single blonde neuron furiously working and I had a thought...

Maybe we should make a special thread - a sort of memorial garden where we can celebrate the brief but often colourful passing of the banned.

I don't mean the heroic banned - those who earned the privilege through the shedding of blood sweat and tears, but the sad, faceless, unsung brigade who trolled their way softly in here to preach some small meaningless message, to bring to us perhaps a website offering penile enhancement, or a magic weightloss program, or a lawnmower that drives itself or a cell phone that brushes your teeth while playing Waltzing Matilda.

If we are hard hearted, bad eyed and loveless, killer type Gardeners, we can rip off wings, count trophy scalps, and turn what's left into baubles for the FG Christmas Tree.

If we're gentle souls who wish noone ill, we can pause for a moment and remember that there but for the grace of the Mods go we.

---------------------------------------------------------------

May I lay Sexy Angel to rest in this place, the first fruits of the Gathering.

Alas poor Sexy Angel now

We never knew him, anyhow

Bereft of harp and feathers he

Now graces for eternity

The high point of our Chrissie tree

She was a girl all nice and smiley

Hello, she said imsarahmiley

We don't know what she came to sell

The excommunication bell

With book and candle tolled its knell

And banned her bootie down to hell

He was the FG ladies man,

Before his posts lead to a ban.

He did return, but in disguise;

Not realizing we were wise.

Yes, he had alot to say.

We said farewell to ol' JJ.

Anyone here have Facebook? What are some of the Applications you play? I played one recently called One Minute Mogul. Can start your own company, hire your friends, then fire them if you want

http://www.forumgarden.com/forums/elect ... ost1065243

Lalalala - your visit was brief

In One Minute Mogul you're chief

But in old FG land

It's you who got canned

This outpouring expresses our grief

Just when posting was so much fun

Popped on for awhile

Sent to the compost pile

Now to wash dishes I run.

A mod's work is never done, Chonsi!!!

Maybe we should rechristen Mods "Cleaners" - :sneaky:

http://www.forumgarden.com/forums/intro ... ost1261189

In our Garden - our Mods are the boss

They sure knew how to waste ZewsZilkJosse

They rumbled and reamed him

And as cleaners they cleaned him

It isn't that much of a loss

Chopped off her hems, and told her "DON'T" !!

Should we skyjack skyjill or just wait

Till the mods come and sort out her fate

It's not very forgiving

To bury the living

But let's make her lamented and late

or maybe

Skyjill may yet not be a troll

In fact she may well be a doll

But if we vivisect her

Can we still resurrect her

If she turns out legit after oll??

then all her words began to stop.

Her words to me were always kind;

And here, she left a friend behind.

Defunct is one thing that Jives aint

That bold dashing fella

And fine story teller

Came back to his friends as The Saint

G'day Carla - you reckon we should widen this thread to include the heroic banned. I've no problem with that. Lady Cop was the first person who was kind enough to befriend me when I first joined FG. I share the sentiments of AFTR's fine poem.

If y'all remember LadyCop, she's still around

At 24 hour forum is where she'll be found

On Crimes and Trials she has a thread

And she's still posting there when I go to bed

On Amber Alerts she's really hot

She really tells the folks what's what

She's really welcoming to her friends from FG

And I bet she'd love to see each of thee

Why not join up, post on forums two

A little diversity is so good for you

She's just as lovely as you remember

Treat yourself, join up, before December. :)

The original intention of this thread was just a bit of mischievous whimsy dealing with the misadventures of the small trolls who come in here to spruik their product, tout for business etc and then vanish into outer darkness, unloved and unsung.

It's gone somewhere else now, and that's how threads work in FG.

Have a great day, Everyone!! I'm off to the beach.

To see her thread had gone astray

Knowing most threads go that way

So lets drag this thread back, within reach

G'day Abbey, Nomad, Rapunzel, MrsK, Gilly, Carla.

Over 40 degrees Celsius here today and I think my brain has melted. The beach had sea breezes which were nice - but I stayed out of the sun. Went to the cinema where it was air conditioned. The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus - Keith Ledger's last film. Very Monty Pythonesque, and weirdly fun. Nomadesque even.

This evening has been the final of Australian Idol and I've been watching it on television and sort of in stereo at the Opera House too. The fireworks were awesome - but 15 seconds out of sync. Maybe that was in case any individual firework was really a troll or something. My favourite, the cool Rock Chick, didn't win - but has a recording contract anyway.

On the topic of concerts - big Pearl Jam concert on here too this afternoon. Now that must have been mega mega hot. My daughter's Parisian girlfriend sent her a couple of tickets as a gift!!! Hope she took lots of water with her and a hat.. cluck cluck cluck... But I digress...

------

I see one new troll has been spiflicated!! Nice work, Abbey.

Bushfires are raging round here at present, so maybe we should try and persuade Nomie to put the matches down. Instead, let's freeze the next trollbie. We could put snow in its ears, and pelt it with ice cubes before attaching it to skis and tossing it down the triple black, skull and crossbone slope, which leads to outer darkness, perdition etc where there will be wailing and g-nashing of teeth. Pant pant pant... :sneaky:
