It is like graffiti on bodies
Tastefully it can be nice
But it can also get ugly pretty quick

When I see someone with tatoos covering their body I think what the hell are you going to look like at 65.

Not into tattoos at all. Respect the body, etc.

IF its tiny and tasteful and in the right place, fine.
otherwise I hate them, they are disgusting, bikers, truckers, those who think they are hot are known for their huge tat's and on a man's skinny arms and everywhere else!:yh_rotfl
-how sadly pathetic.
I have seen obese women as well.:wah:
teenagers, give me a break, have they even taken the time to think?:yh_loser
women......something small and delicate on the ankle.
men....something small and tasteful on their chest.

To each their own but tally me in the ugly/bizarro category. I can see crusty old sailors or bikers getting them, it fits, but "regular" people getting them - often huge, gharish things - just blows my mind. Total turn off too. Why would you permanently etch something on your body that you wouldn't be caught dead hanging on a wall at home?

hoppy, our political beliefs might be diametrical, but our core values seem to be right on.
To my generation, a tattoo says, "I am, or have been, either a sailor or a convict and I am low-class."
Now that's completely unfair. People should never judge other people by their appearance alone, now should they? But, hey, the world's not fair. I will say this, times, they are a-changin'. Today's generations do not see tattoos as anything like what the older generations do.
But still, business is conservative. I know a lawyer that told me that he will not hire "Anyone who has a visible tattoo when they are wearing business clothes in the courtroom." He says it biases the jury. I also heard a store owner once say, "Feel free to pierce and tattoo yourself all you want, I'll feel free not to hire anyone who scares my customers when they walk in."
My last thought? A tattoo is a permanent fashion statement.
... and fashion is NEVER permanent!;)
(Just ask all the guys who are trying to have "I Love Brittany Spears" laser-removed right now!):wah:

Oh... I forgot. I tell all my students that if they get a tattoo, they should get one where they have the option of showing it or covering it up if the the situation warrants.

Good thing about tattoo's, if you don't like them you don't have to look at them.
Yes here to Saint many people will not hire a tattoo'd person, there are certain images that have to be upheld. But on the flip side many of us who get tattoo's work in industries where tattoo's are a non-issue. I am certain my too many of my biker and trucker friends will ever be applying for Lawyer jobs :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
All personal preference.
