Odie gave me an idea yesterday ......No really, she did. (I think a round of applause would be appropriate at this point - OI! you up the back no hissing thank-you. )

Okay, so some of us have had a pretty shitty year So I thought, for myself, I'd right a list of all the good things I want to do next year.

The kids go off Melbourne in January so I have lots of building works and gardening to do whilst they're gone. I'm studying, and I'm hoping for a trip to Queensland. I'm going to try to give up smoking.

So even if it's just planting a lemon tree ..................what have you got planned for next year ? and if you have nothing planned what's your wish list.?

Im going to try to stay warm this winter.

Thats all Ive got planned right now.

I never plan much 'cause my plans never work out. I did have a plan tattooed on my left palm, so I won't ever forget. It reads- 1. Inhale. 2. Exhale. 3. Repeat.

Stay alive and stay employed, to start with.

If my body continues its current rate of dilapidation, I am gonna be in deep sh by 2019. (well, I DID lose 75 pounds, so it ain't all bad)

So I gotta work on some self repair.

Also, and seriously, I am planning to be debt free by this time next year.

And I am taking up snowboarding. The image of my fat a flying down the ski slope will strike terror in all them yuppie ski chums.

I hear ya' LarsMac! I lost about that much weight recently, too, but I wasn't overweight when I began losing weight. I've got a clean bill of health now and I've re-gained that weight all back... and then some, though! :wah:

I'm willing to forget the past two years and 2010 is gonna' be one helluva year!!! I can already tell this is gonna' be one of the best years ever and I've had some pretty damn good years.

Plans for next year hmm , not really made any yet,, i have got a holiday booked for my 50th:D:D i need to plan something really stupid to do for that special birthday too.. just to prove that NO im NOT grown up yet:p:D

Complete and pass my second year at uni in the beginning part, then begin my third year in the later part. :-6:-6

Good for you, Kazalala!!! My father and my sister both quit... well, my sister HAD to quit smoking once she found out that she was pregnant. I'm proud of all of you for quitting! It's a disgusting, senseless and ugly habit that I personally believe should be eliminated altogether.

1. Lose 20 lbs., by doing more power walks.

2. Go to Las Vegas in January

3. Geaux to New Orleans in February.

4. Go to Kansas in June & on into Wyoming & Yellowstone.

5. Go to Maui in July with daughters.

6. Go to Pittsburgh in August or September and on down to Baltimore & Virginia.

And maybe Orlando for Thanksgiving.

2009 has been a pretty good year for us with spending Thanksgiving around children, grandchildren and the newest great grand child and the early part of the year in New Zealand with the other daughter and grandchildren. Finally finishing off this year with a cruise in Barbados December 6th.

2010 will take us back to New Zealand in February where we will spend two to three months visiting friends & family, playing golf and diving. From New Zealand we will head over to Perth to visit friends of long standing. We have been to Oz many times but we are really looking forward to visiting Perth, it's sooooo remote. We will get back to California just as the weather is heating up and in time to compete in the Senior Pickle Ball Tournaments.

Actually, my wife and I as a doubles team are good enough to clobber the out of shape 45 year olds. And maybe, if finances permit, another cruise in late 2010.

Brett, my 14 year old will be in New Zealand for a competition shoot, febuary/march. When people ask what my son did for his 15th birthday he can say shooting, fly fishing on the lakes...etc etc. IN NEW ZEALAND without his parents.:sneaky::sneaky:

come to think of it, he owes me a couple of grand of lawn mowing.

Lose some more weight would be great. Try to get out of this deep funk I've been in all year.

my wish list is that no one else close to me dies and that my physical being gets better and not worse.

1. to stay employed.

2. go visit a nice foreign country for about a week

3. always have at least two days off from work ( I need the rest ! )

4. my mother's health gets better and she is still with me in 2010

and, last but not least,

5. that Larry come to visit me in my dreams ( since he crossed over, I haven't gotten any dream visitations from him yet)

I'm sending prayers for the new year that your mothers health improves...and I'm sorry about Larry, but be patient, I've only had just a few dreams of Grant since he died 9 months ago....so I know that longing you feel. :-4
