I have been trying to post here for years but every time I turn up I can't post because all my posts contain links.

The 15 post rule is there to stop spammers. It's just fifteen posts, join in and then you'll get up to fifteen soon enough. Then you will allowed to post your link if it's relevant to the topic and it's not advertising. :)

However, if it is self-promotion and not previously agreed with the owners of ForumGarden, then you will be infracted and the link will be removed.

Nah, the guy says he's Aberdeen in his profile, if he don't get 'sayin min' nobody will.

Bryn got it without being from the north east of Scotland.

I like that, love smilie well deserved, no sherry involved ;)

Hmmm....this is troubling.

Let me try to think of a solution for you.

Scotch on the rocks. ;)

That's always a good solution and it stops you from worrying about...well, whatever you were worrying about! :D

Bleach! A good cleaning solution for cleaning up when you've had a little too much of the previous solution! This is the solution's solution! :D

Yes my problem is not just with the 15 posts rule it is also with the rule which says you can't post links to your own websites - no "self promotion" rule.

I mean if I was selling Viagra (which I am not, I am not selling anything in fact, I am a political writer) fair enough, no spammers.

My writings if you were allowed to read them, you never know, you might find my writing to be very interesting and that I have a lot of important things to say, entertaining and informative videos to watch which I have produced which I have already published in my website.

But I can't link to specific items I have already published because of the "no links" "no self-promotion" rule.:-5

Even if what I had to say could really help people, make a difference.

All my good works don't matter here because of the rules.

On the other hand, if I wanted to link to a load of rubbish SOMEONE ELSE had published, that would be OK.

So it that a good rule, is what I am asking?

I just get so discouraged with this forum because it is like nobody wants to know your history, only your current mood.

Like, if I had just farted, I could tell you that.

If I had published a solution to many of the world's problems, there is no way I could link to that publication, or details in it, in this post.

May I ask if you sell these entertaining and informative videos on your website? :-3

WARNING!

He IS a spammer. He styles himself "Scotland's National Standard Bearer". He is also a paranoid schizophrenic who periodically goes off his meds.

His posts will be filled with photographs and propaganda - the contents of which have managed to get him banned from almost every Scottish web-site (bar his own).

EDIT: He doesn't have ANY good works...........

You have been warned - I'll be watching with interest...

Strictly based on what Ive seen so far, Id say the chances of that happening is minuscule at best.

You never know though.

My advice is to embrace your boringness and run with it.

A person should stick with what they're good at.
