On a more serious note I read an interesting statistic about my state last week.

In 1990 there was 3 state workers who made over 120,000 dollars in one year.

In October of this year there were 1,213 that make over 170,000 a year.

Talk about putting yourself first. The state has reduced funding to education of all kinds, parks, elderly care, hospices you name it. They're looking at a multibillion dollar deficit as it is.Are you sure all of the income is from their government job? Some have investments and are self employed on the side.

32 million are retired.Just over 11 million had reached 65 for men, 60 for women, in the 2005 estimates. I think you should re-check the quality of your source.
