I know I'm not the only one who gets to feeling this way but I have got to vent.
My life has fallen into a rut of work and sleep so I can get up for work. And I won't bore you with what my personal life is like.
I can't remember when the last time was that I had an enjoyable day.
Today is my day off but I have to go to my part time job so I can't really get into anything that I enjoy doing other than a little yard work and a few minutes on the garden.
I try to laugh and tell myself I'm just paying the price for a wasted youth and the truth is I don't have it too bad but the drudgery is getting to me.
I know the doldrums will pass but they ain't passing fast enough.
Misery loves company, anyone else out their in this boat?

Tis exactly what you said Jah a rut. Take the time and do something JUST FOR YOU. something that wont' cause bad consequences. No fretting about the past and your mis-spent youth that can't be changed. So go on take a chance and do something you have wanted to do in ages and just never did. Set aside a date and stick with it and do it. If that does not work, then get outside take a long walk so some reflecting and enjoy the fresh air. If you have a dog take the dog along too cause they are so enthusiastic on a walk that it is refreshing just to watch their antics.

I've had days like this and it always passes. To make it go faster though, find a way to have a day just for yourself. If you have to take a day off from work, find a way to do it. Then force yourself to get out, don't stay at home. Go see a movie, go for a walk, go to the lake and just lay around, etc....Even if you don't feel like it you'll be glad you didn't just spend the day indoors thinking about what you would like to do.

I thought this thread was going to be about something other than the humdrum of daily life. I've been called a cold heartless b_t_h by three people in the last two weeks. And I'm ok with that. Thought maybe I'd found another comrade... :wah: Guess I'll have to hold the fort for b_t_hes.

Take heart jahamaa, you're not alone. Unfortunately, after working for years, it does seem to get depressing. It's even more depressing after returning from a vacation, then it is always much worse having to put that "harness" back on & buckle down having to go back to work. :wah:
But it seems that is just what you need, a "Vacation"! It does not have to be an expensive one, just doing something that you really like for a few days! You owe it to yourself- do it!
