It's called PUNTING and the boat is called a PUNT. These pics were taken in Christchurch, New Zealand.

I am surprised! I'd have thought that was England if you hadn't told me. Looks remarkably like a bit of Oxford.
I was supposed to be in NZ now. But it would have cost just too much. And as it turned out, at the time I would have been flying I was flat out with 'flu. Bummer all the same. I'll get there yet!

Christchurch is considered to be the most English city in New Zealand. South of Christchurch is the city of Dunedin and it is very Scottish, both in appearance and in the accents of much of the populace.
