Streets and walks ice covered. Not much traffic moving. My favorite local TV station off the air. I still have power and heat. I do a quick food inventory. Out of 'tater chips. Only 'nuff beer for half a day. Getting desperate. Send help soon.

I figured I'd mention that being your a republican and personal responsibility is the code you live by, right?

Sorry to be a downer but its tough when it comes home to roost I guess.
I hope you get plenty of beer for the brain and chips to regulate the blood sugar and weight. No problem, medicare and medicaid will pick up the tab, right?
I love talking about personal responsibility with republicans.

Ok, you can't get out but no doubt at the back of a cupboard somewhere there is a tin of soup that passed it's use by day 3 years ago, some cereal that now resembles cat litter and you can always melt the snow for a refreshing glass of water - but not the yellow snow
If all else fails it's down to you to make that sacrifice, step outside of the tent (house) saying 'I'm going outside, I may be gone some time, I'll be back with dips, chips and beer' (to paraphrase Captain Oates)
Or phone for pizza!

A Jack Handey quote comes to my mind after reading some responses: “Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.

:yh_rotflVery good.
Luckily I have a electric mobility scooter. I wasn't sure how it would handle the ice covered walks but it blew right over them. It thinks it's a ATV or something.:wah:

Yeah, 'bout 9:30AM. Ice knocked it out. Everything is fine now. Got beer, chips. Check out gal wouldn't come home with me though and said if I didn't quit patting her rump she would have her husband give me a darn good "talkin" to.

SOS is the commonly used description for the international Morse code distress signal. This distress signal was first adopted by the German government in radio regulations. In popular usage, SOS became associated with phrases such as "save our ship" or "save our souls".

At FG it has become associated with "Send Out Spammers!"
