Buying the laptop screen is the easy bit. Fitting it is a bitch.
If you tell us the model code from the base of the laptop we can put some information here.

well i was in bed using my lap top ,, i didnt feel that good and couldnt be botehred so i just closed the lid, put it down the side if the bed, put my head back and closed my eyes. Had a snooze, woke and watched a film on telly, then swung my legs out f the bed and put my good leg down to stnad up and reach out for my crutches. I was standing on the lap top:)
Funny i had a bit of a look and one site said there are many reasons for needing to replace a lap top screen one of them being you have stood on it:)

i will have a look at that when i next go back in to my bedroom as it takes far too much energy with already having had to make 3 trips back and forth from there to here what with forgetting to bring my glasses etc.

Without the exact model code you can't look up the right replacement.
Is he any good with a very small screwdriver? Does he follow instructions?

well i will make sure before anything is ordered the right model code is there:) i think he is ok with a small screwdriver and i assume he can follow instructions,, he did get a university degree, but that dont stop him being a man, so its likely he may just follow his own instructions:wah:
