Did you or have you or do you look foward to the weekends? How has it or has it or what do you do on your weekends now? this is pretty much it for me...
When i was younger like 5-15 it was the most blessed time of the week... no school no homework all fun and play!!!
16-17- some homework and family stuff but mostly nothing
17- current watching movies, trying to get school work done to do stuff during the weekday, internet surfing and occasionally fun and play... bust mostly school work...
You?

Saturday: shopping and errands, sparring class, trip to the gym maybe, the big time nursing chores, and occassional haiku or church meetings (which I am not going to today with the snow on its way)
Sunday: all morning at church, afternoon gym and house cleaning, evening house cleaning, dishes, house cleaning :p
I have to have the weekends to catch up with the chores!

My view of weekends changed with age. As a schoolbrat I looked forward to the weekend break from school. Then weekends often meant a hunting or fishing trip.
After my marriage, weekends were usually cut down to maybe one day, if I was lucky. I often worked through much if not all of the weekend.
Now that I'm retired, weekends are just an annoying interruption of my routine.

Weekends....................the book-ends of the week.
As a child:
Friday evenings...doing homework to get it out of the way.
Saturdays ....sleeping late, watching some Saturday cartoons, doing chores, then...........free afternoons.
Sundays.................going to church; coming home and eating a nice breakfast; Dad loading us all in the station wagon to go visit family or staying watching old movies on television or reading a book
Now..................let's have some theme music for this thread:

One weekend I have my children so that's full of them and gym club and generally means a houseful of extra children too. Then the next weekend I'm child free and it's a weekend of study study study, sometimes I get to go out for a night out too
