to be honest i cant comprehend that amount of money and at my age i doubt i would live long enough to spend the interest on it let alone the actual amount id won.........
of course i would settle a good bit on my family and close freinds.
i would put some in trust funds for my grandchildren with a proviso that they cant touch it til they are 25, hopefully by then, they will be mature enough to spend it wisely.
my age also prohibits my life long plan of living the good life, ( thats the title of an old tv programme, here in england, many years ago ) where they turned self sufficient, grew their on food and raised and rescued animals, though i suppose i could employ someone to do the hard work for me but that wasnt my original plan !!
i would certainly travel and see places ive only ever seen on television...........
there are a lot of local charitys that i would help, a hospice, now being built near me for terminally ill children, our air ambulance etc.
i dont want a big house, whats the point, theres only me and the dog :yh_rotfl but i would certainly have all the mods cons to go in the one i did buy !!!
and id never peel another potato as long as lived !!!!!!!:D:sneaky:
( i work in a fish and chip shop now and thats my main job, for those who dont know )

Helen, there would be a mighty rushing of air across the country as my family would be sighing such a sigh ! :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
I know one thing, I would help out my immediate close relatives - I think they would all be millionaires :yh_rotfl I would invest a large sum, and I would buy some Ernie bonds, and I would see my friends are OK, and family friends. But first we would have a 'fussy', just to get it out of the system so to speak.
The three of us in my family would go and choose a very nice house at the seaside, and we would get professionals in to re-furbish this house we're in at the moment, then we would rent it out to somebody who needs a home - the rent would be not very much! We would live in a lovely house near the sea. Then we would look around for some land to buy for building very affordable homes for first-time buyers, somewhere in North Norfolk, in or very near to Wells-next-the-Sea, because young people just cannot afford to buy places in the coastal towns and they are moving away from the areas. Outsiders are buying up the cottages etc. and renting out as 'holiday homes', thus keeping prices very high. Eventually these small coastal places will become 'dead' with nobody living there in the winter, so in a small way, maybe we would help to stop this trend.
Isn't it wonderful to dream ! :yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl :yh_rotfl

I wouldn't work anymore, at the end of the school year. Pay off the homes, and spend a happy life writing and researching and playing with my grandson. :-6
The shock wouldn't kill me, I would say Yippee!

Well, by the time I got over there to collect, and paid off the taxes there, I would probably have enough to buy airfare home and pay the IRS their share.
With the remaining 20 bucks, I would take the wife to McDonald's to celebrate.
;)
