Ok did everybody catch the apology? What no you did not? Oh it's because you were at work or otherwise busy.

OMG you have to be kidding he takes up TV time to issue a public apology.

Ya sure he asked the media to leave his family alone I get that part. HOWEVER .... I think Mister Woods should have himself committed to an addiction program and hide. This entire debacle between he and his wife should not be fodder for the media.

Gawd he is dumber than I thought.

Apology is one thing but that silly a$$ treatment thing is total BS. What good is it to become the best at something and not be allowed to enjoy some of the perks?

No he is trying to safeguard his income of millions through sponsorship. (that's my cynical side showing :lips:)

I doubt he will ever change. Men (and women) like that don't seem to be able to - it would be similar to somebody trying to give up smoking, or an alcoholic trying to give up drinking. They are all addictions.

How do you stop an over-sexed male from the compulsion of having sex all the time?

He has been in treatment and in hiding for the past 45 days.

I for one think its time to leave him alone he has apologized end of story. He was obviously very upset doing this. There comes a time when its becomes sickening our obsession with his fall from grace. Sorry no one is perfect what happens next is between him and his wife.

I hope he gets back to golfing I can honestly say he is the only golfer I will to watch play the game that simple. :-6

The 'Perks' were fine, before he got married.

Afterward, it should be between him and his wife.

I'll just be glad when he gets through all this and gets back to playing golf.

Wish the media would find something else to get on about.

Though it seems it must have been his mom that was whacking his car and him with the golf club.

That was the most PR-constructed piece of infamy I've ever seen constructed, I simply don't see the point in paying a firm six-figure sums to knock together a script that can only alienate onlookers even further. I'd find it very hard to believe for a moment that even a single sentence was his own. Going out unprepared and fielding awkward questions with a degree of personal honesty would at least generate respect. What he did today came nowhere near.

Spot-on Spot ! he he he. Yep, my cynical side says that the 'apology' speech was thoroughly checked for spelling by a third party, well rehearsed, then delivered with due embarrassment. He won't change, he is only interested in the millions that he could loose if the sponsorships were withdrawn.

What is the matter with these men. They have gorgeous wives, most of them have gorgeous children, and they have everything that money can buy, yet they can't keep their eyes off other women. They have no will power, nor willingness to remain faithful to the woman that they married. The woman who makes the effort to be constantly beautiful for them. These sort of men are weak, pathetic, selfish, greedy, immature egotists. Sorry, but I just cannot stand them, and I have not the slightest sympathy for them when they are slagged off in the media. Serves them right! My sympathy is for the poor wives and the children, who must be shattered by such behaviour.

Carla, you say leave him alone now, he doesn't really deserve to be allowed that after what he has done, and many times as well! If he is left alone now, it will only be because of his poor family not him.

yup! his so called apology has been advertised on t.v now for a week!

Seems he is someone's knight in shining armor, perhaps his women?

'Veronica Siwik-Daniels, one of Woods's alleged mistresses and a former pornographic performer, watched the event with her lawyer in a Los Angeles radio studio. She said she wants an apology for the unwanted attention the scandal has brought her.'

"I really feel I deserve to look at him in person face to face in the eyes because I did not deserve this," she said.

poor porn baby, what, did she not know he was married? or who he is?:lips:

and perhaps sometime this year he will return to the PGA? so what, who really cares?

He's stepped on one to many feet.

Gold-diggers should stay in the background, not hog the limelight.

I've had a tad of sympathy for him throughout this terrible mess. Sure we are all human and prone to mistakes In Life, he's just made more than most. In the scale of things, he hasn't killed any-one or eaten some-one's baby. He's just a human being prone to error. Our Politicians are involved In sleaze almost every day, hanging on to their sponserships. Why be so hard on the Poor man?

I don't get it why "the public" expects successful sportsmen to be somehow moral role models as well. We get it here often with footballers. They get drunk in pubs, fight, womanise sometimes even without explicit, written consent. They are warriors, thugs if you like, testosterone-driven, good at what they do. Why do we expect them to be "gentlemen"? Tiger Woods should only disappoint his fans if he stops playing great golf. His family dynamics are a private matter.

I have played golf for 50 years and admire Tiger's skills and accomplishments as a professional golfer]. The fact that he gets more attention regarding his marital indiscretions than Bill Clinton/Lewinsky scandal is unfortunate. The only excuses or apologies that he owes in my opinion, is to his wife, not the public or media. BTW--his comments today were a bit more sincere and clear than Bill Clinton. Or---do we just hold professional athletes to a higher standard than the President of the United States?

Very well said. (wouldnt expect anything less from my good friend)

Humans fail miserably. Weve all fallen from grace in one respect or another.

Failure can also be the inception of awareness that awakens best in us.

Failing isnt always a bad thing.

I'm amazed that Tiger took AIR time to apologize.

Tiger doesn't owe us anything but a good round of Golf.

This situation - well, don't throw stones at glass houses.

Leave him alone & worry about your own relationship.

Odie - Tiger released his apology today.

what you heard all week & prior is BS scandal...

I'm tired of hearing about him.

Move On - leave the issue alone (that's my opinion)

Of course he's spoiled & self centered & lives in a ME ME ME world..

There's alot of "THEM" ..

Of course what he read was a rehearsed script. Probably means nothing

Tiger looked empty as he was reading.

Tiger is embarrassed - not too sorry or worried - just got caught like alot of "Them".

Did Tiger ask some thing from us? Scrat you seem upset.?

Tiger doesn't care if us little people respect him & the Elite group in Tigers world,

well they're in rehab with Tiger.. all is accepted in they're world.

Sad - right when you think some one has everything - wow - what a life...!!!

Just when the media attention left Tiger alone he felt he needed to "get in our face" with this embarrassing confession. It was not necessary other than to get "attention" and was well timed. There was no need for this (IMO) or was there?

I hope part of his "therapy" is that they take away his balls and putter. :wah:

A young couple was married and celebrated their first night together, doing what newlyweds do, time and time again, all night long. Morning comes and the groom goes into the bathroom but finds no towel when he emerges from the shower. He asks the bride to please bring one from the bedroom. When she gets to the bathroom door, he opened the door, exposing his body for the first time to his bride.

Her eyes went up and down and at about midway, they stopped and stared and she asked shyly, "What's that?" pointing to a small part of his anatomy.

He, also being shy, thought for a minute and then said, "Well, that's what we had so much fun with last night."

And she, in amazement, asked, "Is that all we have left?"

I'm going to say that adultery should never be a "perk" of any kind of activity.

A man who was a hero to millions of young men, and made millions of dollars from his sport has a responsibility to behave civilly and be a good role model.

He gets no mercy from me. I would like to see his wife sue him for everthing he's worth, and see him get banned from golf for life. I will personally never watch another event featuring him, boycott any product he endorses, and actively teach the young men that I come in contact with the there is such a thing as "ethics" and "morals" and that those are the qualities that define "true men."

Rough, beedies. Far harsher, I'd have thought. To quote Wikipedia, "they deliver more nicotine, carbon monoxide and tar, as well as carrying a greater risk of oral cancers".

Got this from bidis.net "Pure Herbal bidis are the world's first tobacco-free bidis. They mimic the pleasure-giving properties of tobacco, but contain no nicotine or other carcinogens, and are non-addictive. "

What do you guys think?

----------------------------

American Lung Association of Oregon - The Dangers of Bidis

The smoke from a bidis contains 3 times as much nicotine and carbon monoxide and 5 times as much tar as smoke from regular filtered cigarettes. Due to the higher nicotine levels bidis are more addictive than normal cigarettes.

Bidis are being mistaken for "healthy" cigarettes because they look natural. The truth is that they pose more of a threat for throat, mouth and lung cancer than do regular cigarettes.
