I was curious to see if a Chesterfield could be covered in fabric so I Googled it. I have this upholstered chair that I've always considered a Queen Anne, that has metal buttons . It once belonged to Dr. Papanicolaou, developer of the Pap smear. There was a leather couch also, which his son had and I believe it was a Chesterfield, but my chair isn't.
The Chesterfields are lovely, sturdy pieces of furniture, aren't they?

Huh, I always referred to any sofa thingy as a chesterfield... guess I'd better call 'em sofas from now on.
