The Unemployment Situation (Disaster In The Making?)

Someone told me the other day that for people who have been on unemployment for the past 2 years (I'm guessing that's millions of people?) that sometime in June the government is going to shut off all of their benefits here in America. So these are basicly many of the people who lost their jobs when the economy crashed in 2008 and have been taking advantage of the previous extension in benefits.
Now what I see unfolding here is a SERIOUS situation in the making. Of those millions of people who are currently receiving unemployment, how many of them are going to be out of a place to live if this happens? How many of them are going to turn to foodstamps for help with food? That will create quite a burden on the system when you figure the enormous amount of people who still haven't been able to find work who will be left out in the cold.
This could cause everything from riots to almost what could amount to be a full blown revolution in the United States. I'm not sure if people are taking this problem as seriously as they should be.
