The reason that we have a hung parliament is that no single party and no single leader was able to win the full support of the country.

As leader of my party, I must accept that that is a judgment on me.

I therefore intend to ask the Labour party to set in train the processes needed for its own leadership election.

Very very very good question.

I was warming to PR, in fact I thought that would be the way to go to give every voter a voice.

Then I looked at the different variations on offer.

It is so much more complicated than what we have now, and the present situation where all the parties are negotiating behind closed doors about who is going to govern, gave me an insight into what PR is all about.

And now I am against it.

Current events here are fascinating. I think it would be wrong to change the current voting process. While unable to vote myself, my husband does. And he votes for the both of us, as NHS issues affect us both. However, I do belong to the RCN and can vote through them. Whoever thinks politics is boring does not live in Britain!:-3

Single transferable vote for preference - stops tactical voting, keeps the vote relevant to the constituency you're in and ends up with the least disliked candidate.

I dont think so. I could barely contain myself when Brown reneged on a promise of a referendum. I happen to think Cameron is much more honest. Theres too much at stake for him to pull the rug from under Cleggs - and our - feet

I do believe that was Brown's biggest mistake but i myself wouldn't trust Cameron as far as i could throw him.

Of course we can only go by our impressions. Our judgement of character. Mine of Brown was one of complete hatred at times. I dont have, as yet, the same feelings with Cameron. I dont get the archetypal, stereotypical Tory that infested our lives during the Thatcher years
