I've never been in Louisiana this late in the year and I've not seen crepe myrtle, magnolias, azaleas, etc. growing like this. Beautiful!

Sounds alot like Georgia.............everything is blooming so pretty! We've been getting plenty of rain and sunshine.

I saw in Louisiana a live-oak growing,

All alone stood it, and the moss hung down from the branches;

Without any companion it grew there, uttering joyous leaves of dark green,

And its look, rude, unbending, lusty, made me think of myself;

But I wonder’d how it could utter joyous leaves, standing alone there, without its

friend,

lover near—for I knew I could not;

And I broke off a twig with a certain number of leaves upon it, and twined around it a

moss,

And brought it away—and I have placed it in sight in my room;

Yes, Odie. It's certainly beautiful here. The desert where I live is nothing like this, although my yard and plants are nice. I think I'll take some of the moss from the trees and drape it on my cactus.

we don't have mosses here, so they are imported.

I am taking pictures, Flop and when I get back to LA, I'll take some more. Right now we're in beautiful Oklahoma at The Grand Lake O' The Cherokees. I hope I pick up some vibes here from ancestors of mine. Meanwhile it's a treasure I didn't know existed in Oklahoma.
