Ah---------It's very special----similar to Extra Virgin Olive Oil but the olives when picked are then held at a Convent for 48 months before being processed.:wah:

Bride and Gloom (1954)

[first lines]

Olive Oyl: Just think, Popeye, tomorrow is our wedding day.

Popeye: Yeah, Olive. I can't wait!

[last lines]

Popeye: Good morning, sweetheart! Your lover boy is ready to get married.

Olive Oyl: Popeye, I-ain't-gonna-get-married!

[Olive clobbers Popeye with a chest of drawers]

I get the feeling Olive Oil is getting like Wines.

First we had simple Olive oil.....which wasn't enough.

So then we got Virgin Olive oil.

Then Cold pressed Olive oil.

Then Extra Virgin Olive oil.

Now especially for the food freaks we have Very Virgin Olive Oil........do we have to spit it out ?

Hello Lon,

I really, really envy you. You are willing to try all kinds of food and enjoy them with gusto.

Wish I was more adventerous, but I'm not:o. I recently went out to a gourmet restaurant for a friend's birthday and would not eat anything on the menu. I ended up having rolls, veggies and a salad. Needless to say, I was mortified with my behavior :o

The only foods I eat are pasta, chicken, pork, lobster, shrimp, sabrettes hot dogs, Chinese foods, fruits, veggies and salads.

To this day, I will not eat peas and would barf it I had to. I've never tasted peas but won't eat them. I know, I know.....

~~~~~sigh~~~~~I'm beyond 'shrink time'......Don't think I can change now~~~~~
I honestly cannot figure out why I'm not more adventerous with my eating habits. Almost everyone in my family eats all types of food.
On the upside.....At least I eat lots of salads, fruits, veggies, yogurt and protine from the meat, cheese and eggs.
Bruv,
You are one funny guy:wah: You always make me laugh.
You do know though that tasting olive oil truly is like tasting wine for many people. I love olive oil but much prefer wine...and lots of it:wah: I know this from watching "Food Channel" and reading "La Cucina" magazines.
Like many kids I was a picky eater. I would not eat anything black or that looked black like prunes, licorice, egg plant etc. Some kid told me I would die if you eat anything black and I believed him. As an adult I will eat or at least try anything. In the past year I have become a fan of Indian Food (India). I like the spices. Thai food is another of my favorites.
But...but... I was being serious.
I enjoy olive oil very much, can't eat salad without.
Need a hefty drizzle over any pasta and can eat it 'just like that'
I also enjoy wine, and whisky, but just can't be doing with all the pretentious twaddle involved in them.
Suppose it is all to do with marketing them.
Remember when Balsamic vinigar was a rarity ?
Now you can get it anywhere.
I think that I'll always be a kid...I close my mind and mouth and just won't try it if I'm adversed to the look, smell, color..or whatever:p
I don't have a good sense of smell or taste. The spicer the food the better;)
Oh Chonsi:-4
OMG...LIVER....YUKKKKK !!!
You are such a luv...You're so funny in a quiet way:wah:
I've always hated the look of peas...dunno why..they're mushy maybe and look like little balls of turd of some animals...
As a kid, I used to hide my peas in a wee shelf under my kitchen table or put them in my potato jacket.
I finally admitted this to my parents and thought they'd be so upset with me. They were very understanding and just cleaned out all of the rotten peas in the shelf. Little did I know then that they were hysterical with laughter.
To this day, my family teases me about peas. Whenever we go out for dinner everyone wants to know if I want peas or puts them on my plate:mad:
It's funny------------I hate liver and onions, but love liverwurst on rye bread with dill pickles and mayonaise.
