Two days ago....driving down the highway I turn to my boy and say, "what the? Watch this idiot, is he drunk?"
Nope!
It was a middle aged lady swerving around something on the road.
A DEAD RABBIT!!!!!
No she couldn't of thought it was a 'live' rabbit because it was obviously squished by a semi trailer.
She didn't swerve to miss a dear or a bloody great kangaroo or wombat (granted these animals would seriously damage the diff if you decided to go 4x4 driving over them.)
but a DEAD RABBIT. :-5:-5:-5:-5:-5

OH you mean the woman swerving? Yeah you're not supposed to . That's why I thought she was drunk because she hit the dirt and lost it a little .The law comes in when you cause an accident by your evasive actions.

Bill you jest surely. Canberra is full of them.
Fuzzy, there are are some places here I've lived where you would be in great danger right now. No, not from the Australian branch of PETA but some people following you around and tailgating you to try and get to the roadkill first.....you know about bush tucker, well there's also this thing called highway tucker. :driving:

Yep I know all about 'road tucker' Royd, You can only take their legs though . I'm white, I'm not allowed to take the whole animal.
and don't talk PETA to me, I'm likely to go off the nut.:wah::wah::wah:
Actually the title of the thread and PETA go hand in hand.

Police are waiting to interview two men who have had surgery after shooting each other with an air rifle in Victoria's west.
Police say the men, both aged 34, from the Horsham area were drinking on Sunday night when they decided to see what would happen if they shot each other.
Police believe the men then took turns to shoot each other in the buttocks and legs to find out if it would hurt or if the pellets would penetrate the skin.
Police say the men were in some pain, but thought they were fine.
However, two days later, both were admitted to hospital to have the gun pellets removed.
One of the men, who owns the air rifle, will lose his shooting licence and have his firearms confiscated.
GOOD GOD!!!!:rolleyes::-2 Shallow end of the gene pool?

I don't understand that, is it an euphemism? The article seems to go on to say that they were in fact shooting each other's arses.

The doctors would have reported it . Neither of the men would have reported it to police themselves for fear of losing their licenses . In the blokes minds, they havent committed a crime.
Could you keep straight face interviewing these guys?
Informant : and then what happened?
bloke: and then I told joe 'ere to face his arse to me .
Informant" and then what happened?
bloke: I shot 'im. god I laughed. You should of seen him jump.
informant: And then what happened ?
Bloke: well I'm a fair man so I gave the gun to 'im and I bent over and he shot me.
Informant: And then what happend?
Bloke: Dunno......... I think I dropped my 20th can of Bundy and passed out.

I saw the story the other day, I'm sorry I just burst out laughing, the mental images were too much - two blokes off their faces firing at each other's arses with air guns...and they're probably going to get pinched. Heck they should put them on Hey Hey It's Saturday and boost the ratings :wah:
