In my mailbox! Got stung today, went back out with the broom while my arm was swelling up. My son said he would take care of it, the boys went off to the home depot to get some stuff.

Geez, Chonsi...that's awful.
Years ago, I was stung on the face by a yellow jacket. Ouch! The swelling and the pain. I didn't even provoke the bug.

I took some Benadryl, I know I'm alergic to red ants.

OUCH! Who would ever imagine a nest in your mailbox?
I hope your okay Chonsi!:-4
Benadryl should help, but it may take days............
just a hint..when spraying a wasps nest...do it at night.....when they are 'all' there and sleeping.
let us know how you are tonight.

Hope you're ok Chonsigirl and the swelling is going down.
I've been dealing with white faced hornets this year. I've already burned two nests underneath one of my decks after dark. Got nailed once in the leg. Rolled some stick deoderant on the bite and the pain and swelling went away in no time.

Thank you Odie, I will have the boys spray it at night.
That is interesting Mustang, stick deodorant works on it! I will try it if stung again.

Glad your okay now, I've never been stung, touch wood, but I hear it really really hurts!:-5
Makes you wonder what's in deodorant that helps so much?
Mustang had told me he got stung not to long ago.
Apparently with our excessive heat & humidity there are tons of wasps, bees, mosquitoes and more bugs out this year.

Wow chonsi, sorry to hear that, hope your arm is better by now.
Last year, I went to fill up the gas tank in my car in FL that was outside all summer. I pulled up to the gas pump, got out, & opened the car's gas tank door. I jumped back startled in shock!! Low & behold, a swarm of wasps came raging out of a nest built on the actual gas cap!!! I slamed the door closed, & ran inside to the attendant to see if they sold wasp spray, they didn't. I had to drive to a wallymart 3 miles away, got the spray, & sprayed through crevaces in the door. Some wasps fell out dead on the floor, but at least 40 to 50 angry wasps came buzzing out. And I'm there in the parking lot, spraying into the air like a mad man killing most if not all of them, "what a sight I must have been"! TG I didn't get stung!!!
