The thought occurred to me how easy it is for anyone with basic computer skills and the interest, to learn how to invest wisely and not need the middle man to rely on for financial advice. There is a vast amount of good solid financial data and resources on line that takes away the need of using a broker or investment advisor. Prior to computers this data was not easy to come by and individuals were dependent on the big brokerage firms and their agents or brokers to get investment information. Where as at one time investing was the realm of the wealthy, it is now possible for those of average means to become prudent investors.
