Well, this Mother most likely won't be winner of the Mother of Year award!

A mother has sparked controversy after giving her consent for her 14-year-old daughter to have semi-permanent makeup tattooed onto her face.

A "wannabe singer and actress" with 22 beauty pageant titles under her belt -- the teenager boasts about getting inked- on eyeliner, lip liner, eyebrows, and even a fake beauty mark.

The mother said she has no regrets about her decision to authorize the seven-hour procedure, which requires parental consent for youths under 18.

The teen also reportedly dyes her red hair dark brown, but her mother is cracking down on her daughter's plan to get laser treatments to fade her freckles -- because that would be too radical.

So, is this Mother acting rational, or is it tantimount to her allowing "child abuse"?

Mom Lets 14-Year-Old Daughter Sophie Watson Get Semi-Permanent Makeup Tattoos - StyleList

Nice looking girl who got the makeup tattooed. Why she'd need something like that done, when she looks like a natural, is beyond me.

She's 14. I'd stand my ground with a daughter that age and advise her she can do what she wants when she's 18, on her own, employed and can afford an $1,800 procedure herself.

It's not a new procedure anyway, Cars. Our daughters girlfriend had dreams of modeling and had her eyes, brows and lips done back in the 80's. She sure looks different today than what she did, when she first had it done. Age has a way of changing those tattoo's. :yh_ooooo

What hope is there for a 14 year old when parents are making such rash decisions for them. It's an irresponsible decision for an adult to make and wholly unnecessary. I suspect her decision not to allow her daughter the laser treatment may have been influenced by the negative press coverage of this. Who knows what she would of allowed if nothing had been put in the papers

A 14-year old girl is still a child. She has not yet blossomed into full womanhood yet. The only beauty tips she should be heeding are keeping her body and hair clean, brushing her teeth, combing her hair. JMO

This revolting mother has also sold her story to the British Women's Magazines and paraded her daughter for the camera's.

At 14 years old, this Is a ridiculous decision. Moods and fads change so rapidly at 14 years old. I remember myself at 14 and my fads and fashion changed all the time.

I find with mothers like this who enter their children In Beauty Pageants etc etc, are living their lives through their children. She was probably a failed beauty queen herself so now has to push her daughter.

A foolish thing to do, to permanently have her daughter look like she has makeup on. Is she too lazy to put it on!?

Tattoos are a permanent fashion statement...and fashion is NEVER permanent.
