It`s an interesting point and as per usual there are 2 sides to every coin. One says you shouldn`t really be paid for looking after your own children, and the other says you are bringing up your children which is as much a proper job as working9-5 in a factory or office. Good luck with it!

interesting point but I do not see being a parent as a paying job. This I can see motivating people to have unwanted children just so they can get a salary. No I think being a parent is a special privledge. I can't imagine how I would feel if my mother told me she made x dollars for having me and my brother.

I loved all the time I spent at home with my girls. I also like working now that they are 14 and still at home and 18 moved out. Raising them was most challenging and rewarding.

I have had a home daycare and also worked outside the home.. My kids will tell you - there is a lot more respect for each other when I work outside the home...Cuz then I am not CONSTANTLY saying - your room is a PIG STY - cuz I am not looking at it all day! LOL I really did love staying home when they were little though.............

it is nice to hear what we are worth no i wouldn't want paying just the respect this important job deserves thats what i want
