were arrested yesterday in England, who were said to be plotting to harm the Pope! The pope was informed of the plot, but still kept his busy schedule in the mainly Protestant country!

Does he really believe he was going to instigate thousands of converts?!

I'm sure he is not on a mission to convert anyone here in the UK. There are approx 5 miilion CAtholics in Britain (about 1 in 12). Around 72% of British people are Christians.

You are probably not getting much positive coverage of his visit to the Uk over there but despite the protesters his visit has been very positive and many YOUNG people are supporting him .....

There is a prayer vigil going on in Hyde Park London at the moment.....if you can get on to the BBC news channel you can see it.

Yes Bez, coverage is vague, with an article in the newspaper about the arrest of 6 men involved in a plot againt the Pope. The article was wrong when it said majority of the UK people were Protestant. Can't believe everything in print! Will look for the BBC chanel here.

No, they were correct - 72% Christian with 8% Catholic gives a solid majority as Protestant.

Still agree with Bez though, converting Brits to Catholicism was not the intent of the visit.
