One of mine is when plugging in something, it has to go in a certain way.:-5

Good question. I'm mostly unflappable but off the top of my head I would say that people who can't take NO for an answer are troublesome. When someone chooses to end a relationship, whether it be friends, acquaintances or more, why can't the person being told NO take that as gospel and move on? Goodness, there are so many people on this planet, if you're told NO, why not move along? Have some self-respect.

The second thought off the top of my head are fake people. For example, I posted with a guy on two different boards. He pretended to be a conservative on the conservative board and a liberal on the liberal board. He was desperately trying to fit in and most likely didn't even know who he was. I guess you could call him a Yes Man.

Those two examples aren't necessarily pet peeves, but they are baffling to me.

I agree CB, I've met a couple that are fake, every forum they pretend to be someone they're not... one forum a member lived in a 7 bedroom mansion and a husband who worked for the government, on another forum, she lived on her own in an apartment with all kinds of outdoors animals, even posted a pic that she said was her, but everyone knew it was a pic from a magazine or the internet. I just cannot comprehend why some people lie.

and some can't take NO without causing problems.

yup....baffling indeed.

now, back to pet peeves......when they advertise something on t.v. and it doesn't come on.:-5

What I find baffling Is the people who are baffled by others on forums.

I have come across the odd one who's posts did not stack up but then I am In another country to them, I do not know what or how they live their lives so who am I to Question? Who Is any-one to question?

As for the guy who was a liberal on one forum and a conservative on another? How do you know he did not change his political views Inbetween those posts?

I am a member of the BNP yet today I have been delivering leaflets locally for a Conservative friend of mine. Does that make me baffling?

One thing that peeves me is commercial TV channels who insist on using the, so called, Tasters.

You're viewing the program of your choice, then just before the advert break, a "voice" informs you... "Coming Up" or "Still to Come".

Break over, the voice gives a re-run of what you've just been watching followed by "still to come".

I don't need to know, I don't want to know what's "coming up". I don't need a re-run of what I've been watching two minutes previously. Grrrr.

One other thing that peeves me is motorists who fail to use their car indicators, especially at roundabouts.

Grrrr.

(I wonder how soon after we pass our driving test we can stop using our car indicators)

Good thread. btw. :D

Talking of motorists... This Is not a peeve just an observation.

Why do some people when crossing a road and seeing a car coming, do that little half skip to show the driver they are making an effort? As we all know, they are not making an effort... They do not get to the other side of the road any quicker.

Yup, that's the kind of anomaly I've seen. Regarding the guy I mentioned, at 10:15 AM he was forcefully defending one side of an issue on one board and at 10:25 AM, he was doing the reverse on another board. It appeared he was arguing with himself. Funny. Eh, though I doubt it, maybe he's a debate professor and not a fake. ;) I remember in college being forced to take sides of issues we disagreed with and argue it to the end. Tough, but we got the grade. Funny world we live in and never a dull moment. Strange, bizarre, baffling and most of all, funny.

Good one, which lends itself to this question. How long after we learned to parallel park did we forget it? I'm horrible at it and avoid it at all costs, but I aced it in driving school. Go figure.

Tough, but we got the grade. Funny world we live in and never a dull moment. Strange, bizarre, baffling and most of all, funny. First of all CB, I must apologise for following your posts :wah: Unfortunately there are few members on-line at the moment and posts are few and far between.

What baffles me Is why you would be watching what time another member posts, what he says, when he next posts etc etc ? I find that baffling.

Every-thing I post about my life on a forum can be backed up with evidence at any time. I have often posted pics of what I am talking about and any member Is free to call at my home any time they like. For eg... when I posted that I had bought a new car, I posted a pic of It In my drive. If I say I have four members of my family In Afghan and Iraq, I have pics to prove It. If I say I have Police Officers In my family, I have the evidence.

In other words... It Is entirely some-one on a forums Imagination especially If they are In another country to that poster to make assumptions and draw conclusions of some-one we have never met In real life. I suppose one could go by what a member tells you In private messages but I have learnt over my time on forums to be very wary when I join a new forum and a seasoned member Immediately private messages me for help In attacking another member. If they ask for me for my E Mail address then alarm bells ring loudly.

Forums should be there for debate and fun not watching who posts what where and at what time... That I do not understand unless the person has little else to do.

What If the guy does contradict himself? Does that make him subject to scrutiny?

Thank you binbag!

I to despise 'still to come'.

One show I just stopped watching, each time they went back to it, they wasted 5 minutes telling you what already happened.:-5

oh yes, indicators, weren't they invented for using? great pet peeve!:-6

I got a whole bunch of pet peeves----------the person that gets right on my rear bumper when I am already doing 20 miles an hour over the speed limit.

The Soccer Mom that goes zipping through the Super Market with two kids in the basket knocking cans and boxes off shelves.

The little ole lady at the market check out that goes fishing through her purse to pay the bill OR takes for ever to write a check or use a credit card.

The teenager that spews out words faster than my brain can process them.

People that have too many PET PEEVES :wah:

When checking out at the grocery store and someone eyeballs my cart and asks, "Are you having a party?"

Screaming kids in a store or restaurant.

Junk mail asking you to buy insurance etc that has been partially filled in with your details.....means more stuff for the shredder !

People who drive into the parking space that you are just lining yourself up to reverse into ....hope that makes sense

I live in a close with very restricted parking......there are 2 cars without road tax that the owners don't use - one hasn't moved for over a year. Nothing can be done because it isn't a 'puublic' highway :-5
