Gas prices are retreating a little from their peak recently and in one or two states it is possible to find unleaded for under $2.00/gallon.
There is a very useful websit at gasbuddy.com which will direct you to the cheapest gas in your area. It would be especially useful to those about to top off their SUV before a long trip!

There are 12 US gallons in each 10 English gallons, and $1.89 to the £, which makes the $2 US gallon equivalent to $6.16 here.
