My mother hasn't been answering her phone lately-I do not think she hears it. And they do not know how to answer the phone recorder-she does not know I have been calling. I called up my brother and sister, and wanted to know if they were all right. "Oh yeah, just out swimming right now." I told them I've been trying to call for 7-10 days and it upset me to not know what was happening. They think I'm over reacting. Do you think I am? It seems a very long time without communication, and sometimes a relatives voice can be a comfort during hard times.:-1

No, I don't see it as an over reaction at all.
If you live a distance from them and have no other way of making contact, your concerns are justified Chonsigirl. And I hope your brother and sister give your mother the message that you've been trying to reach her and you hear from her soon.

Get a louder bell attached to it with a light that blinks very effective have one for my mother as she can't hear either, we have bells in the garage and the back of the house, and on the patio. Is there someone like a neighbor that can listen to their message with them that you would trust?

7-10 days? Absolutely no overreaction there ...I'd be beside myself with worry .
There's a little light thingy you can buy from electronics stores that flashes when the phone rings . some plug into the phone and some have a sensor thingy on them that goes off when the phone rings .

Oh, I will order them one of those phones Carla and fuzzy, and ship it to them. I think most of the problem is they cannot hear it.

Oh Chonsi,
I hope all is ok. No, you did not overreact. I would be frantic, especially if my parents lived far away.
You could always ask the police to pop in, and ask your parents to call you. That's what I did when I didn't hear from a family member in awhile.
It must be so difficult living so far away from family Chonsi. All of my thoughts are with you and family.

Do you have any family friends who could stop by ?
And I don't blame you for being worried, I would be too.

I finally got her today, and told her I would be shopping for senior friendly phone this weekend to send her. I will sleep better tonight.

That's wonderful Chonsi:-4
I used to worry about my parents all the time, but at least they lived near me. That made things easier. It's always a worry!
