My hallway stinks, I've pulled things out several times over the last two days trying to work out what the hell it is. Next stop is the tiny cupboard under the stairs in daylight tomorrow. I'm trying not to think of the fact it smells like something dead, I keep being reminded of the rat I had in my flat a few years ago because a stupid workman left me with a hole in the wall. Fingers crossed it's not that and is some piece of food the children have dropped or something :yh_pray

Oh, I hope it is old food from the kids too....................

The last weird smell in here was when I took some frozen hamburgers out of the freezer to get at something behind them, stashed them in the little space above the fridge to get my hands free then forgot to put them back. The space is rather small and I didn't see them there until started searching for the fridge odour three days later.

Hopefully your problem is not in the walls.

Oh boy hoping it is just food. A dead animal would be better then mold in my opinion. Got my fingers crossed ..

Well Betty it has been a couple days now, did you find the bad smell? In the place you described I would bet on a mouse.

Have next door counted their cats recently?

I have that same bad, something died, smell here too. It's everywhere I go. It disappears for awhile after I shower but within the month it's back again.

I hope you get rid of it, whatever it may be.

Could it be an old cardi? Maybe one that you put away to give to me? It could have gone a bit damp and smelly...actually I don't want it now, but thanks :-6

:wah: no chance!! Brown cardi is in the wardrobe smelling gorgeous awaiting it's re-appearance next spring ish... :sneaky:

Nope, still no idea. Stumped. It's not coming from the tiny under the stairs cupboard. I've pulled out everything bar some packs of laminate flooring that are stored there waiting to be put down in my kitchen. So the next step is to pull them out tomorrow at some point.

It's starting to worry me now that I can't find an obvious source, fingers crossed something obvious will come to light soon!
