Bill O'Reilly should give lessons on it, actually he does, to his droned audience every evening.
First they claim that their opponent has offended them by attacking a condition of theirs and then go on to behave exactly as they've accused the other. It's a conservative strategy that's been in use for years. Their method is to appear wounded and then counterattack. They do it so often it's become almost second nature to them.
Watch for it.

David Silverman let O'Reilly off the hook about the " tides go in, the tides go out " statement. Should of jumped all over him right there.

I saw this show and couldn't believe that O'Reilly said what he said about tides. And he was a teacher at one time??

It's one of those cases where I can't stomach listening because O'Reilly keeps cutting his guest off. What? He just invited the guy there to talk at him. A cardboard cut out would have sufficed.

Is he actually on a mainstream news channel? If he really believed that about the tides will it not get him laughed off the TV?

And here's our holy and illustrious Mr. O'Rielly in another light.
Caution, the dreaded f-word ahead.

I've seen him on you tube, didn't appreciate he was on main stream TV as a serious pundit, guess I'm used to usually seeing both sides being given a proper hearing

Comedy Central likes to horde their shows. Can't see them in Canada either.

Fact: Bill O is no Conservative. He is center/right as is mainstream American audience. Pretending otherwise doesn't make it so.

Here's an example of another conservative, Tom Delay, former congressman from Texas and known as "The Hammer" for his ability to force Republicans to tow the line. The quotes below are from the transcript of an interview with Matt Lauder of the today show. Transcript and video> DeLay: Conviction all about politics - TODAY People - White House - TODAYshow.com
Here Delay claims he's a victim, he criticizes the jury and then says he's not criticizing the jury: first of all, i was tried in the most liberal county in the state of texas , indeed in the united states . getting a jury -- the foreman of the jury was a green peace activist. i'm not criticizing the jury. the point is, that this is a political campaign , has everything to do that the district attorney used six grand juries before he found one just sworn in to indict me on laws that don't exist in texas .
Here Delay's attorney follows up the same tune.this was a political prosecution. tom delay was prosecuted because he was so successful bringing about redistricting in texas . the prosecution tried this case by making the jury hate politicians and politics in washington d.c. we went to trial on the very day that people across the country, voters, rebelled against politics. that's the atmosphere, the political atmosphere this prosecution created. Now wait a minute, I thought liberals love politicians and politics (government). The rebellious people Mr DeGuerin spoke of were republicans, not liberals.

Tom Delay has already been to count over gerrymandering these county maps in order to manipulate votes and representation. I like how they reference his past disregard for law as a defense for his current violation.

I agree. then he could shake the cutout to make it look mad, or nod it in agreement all while putting words in it's mouth.

O'Reilly, like many of his co-conservatives just can't let things go thus revealing his ignorance and obstinate personality. He's inching towards the edge. Professional suicide is in the works for this ignoramus. Watch the video.

He is only center-right if you cut the left side off at, say somewhere around George HW Bush.

O'Reily likes to use skepticism only where it suits him. He'd question the existence of the moon if it conflicted with his beliefs. I suspect he doesn't know the moon's orbit is gradually increasing, and will eventually fly off the earth one day (assuming the sun doesn't burn out first). If that isn't a perfectly intelligent design, I don't know what is.

One of the Rights favorite victim chants is: "If a conservative was to say that the liberals would be all over them." Ah, poo-poo you poor children in adult skin.
It's more helpful to examine the relevance of an issue than it is to holler and scream emotionally over how you have been or will be hurt (victimized) by events, especially when the screamers have emotionally twisted the meaning behind those events. The funny thing is, it works, which is no surprise to a student of Darwinian Philosophy. Anything goes when threats to the survival of the group is perceived, even unsupported and constant cries of victimization. And the more it works, the more we will hear the claims.
This "we're victims" coming from the right has become so commonplace these days we no longer identify it for what it is.

Two new entries into this thread.
"A, we still have a ways to go. We still have a lot left that we're planning on doing," he said. "B, I think that's just what conservatives do by nature. I think that's just the nature of conservative punditry is to do that -- to kind of complain -- about any imperfection they might see."
It was a less harsh rebuke than that by Ann Romney, who told critics to "stop it," but the criticism was still striking for the Wisconsin congressman, who has cultivated strong relationships with conservative pundits.
Paul Ryan On Conservative Criticism Of Mitt Romney: It's In Their Nature To Complain
"This is just like four to one, I should be able to be allowed to speak, you know, for each one of these gentleman-- these people here," she said. She attempted to move on to a different point, but Scarborough appeared offended by the remark.
"Don’t put me as a four to one because I’m not," he countered. "I’m a small government conservative."

It seems to be part of the right-wing schtick to complain about persecution and victimhood. Not allowing them to force all school children to pray becomes persecution of Christians. Allowing evolution to be taught becomes persecution of Christians, as does saying "happy holidays" or so many other things.
To hear Fox News complain that they are the only source of unbiased news and everyone else is controlled by the vast liberal conspiracy to turn everyone into socialist zombies and how the right-wing majority is so oppressed by the liberal minority is commonplace. Then again, Fox News is part of Rupert Murdoch's empire of "news" media, so I'm sure that it is as honest and above board as the rest of his tabloids.

Right-wing religious feel god is responsible for every bitty thing. Fox stirs the pot by convincing people that their opinions are just as worthy as anyone's else's. It's a free speech issue, they claim---the right to give an opinion becomes the same as having a knowlegable opinion, placed on the same level. God is a conversation stopper, you can't really argue with someone's belief. Ignoring them is the way, but no one will risk dissing the religious. Science & "experts" are continually mocked. It's a madhouse.

I spare myself the trauma, I quit watch FOX a few years ago.
About the only political commentary I watch with any regularity is Bill Maher.
