I think I'm putting this up here because I think it's one of the most telling paintings from WWII. It's sad, it's even terrifying. But it's real. I remember in my younger days I had a much more macho attitude towards war, it was kind of like an interesting game to be played, entertainment. I don't feel that way anymore.
