How's this for a decided lack of "class"?
During the 1920's many English ladies & gentlemen travelled from Britain to India. On one such trip a Governor's daughter took a fancy to a second class steward. After dinner they danced cheek to cheek & spent the night together. The next afternoon the steward approached her on deck.
She froze him in his tracks and said: "In the circles in which I move, sleeping with a woman does NOT constitute an introduction."
What a cow!
