The British Soldier, definitely still fit for purpose

With chaps like this the nation's still got what it takes, I reckon. What did the Duke of Wellington allegedly say about them? I don't know what effect these men will have on the enemy but, by God, they terrify me? If he didn't say it he should have. This one's TA, I think. "Without the TA the British Army would not be able to function", and you can see why.L/Cpl O'Mahoney and his partner, Gemma, were woken by the sound of intruders breaking in to their home on Gerald Road. L/Cpl O'Mahoney, a serving soldier with 103 Regiment Royal Artillery, based at Belle Vue, Manchester, ran downstairs where a struggle ensued with three men wearing balaclavas.
"Two of them ran out of the house but the third one managed to get the car keys," he said. "As soon as he got in the car he was waving this knife at me and I thought 'there's only one way to stop him.' So I punched clean through the driver's window and I just kept hitting him until he got out. The only thing is, I was a little bit naked because I sleep in my birthday suit," he added.
