OK--I'm old and a little vain, but Holy Godzilla, looking in the mirror while shaving this morning scared the hell out of me. Every pore, every blemish, blue veins and bruises, nostril & ear hairs were prominently displayed in the mirror. Surely that is not really me, there must be some terrible mistake. I am going to the hardware store right off and see if I can't find some lighting that will show the real me and not some ancient blue tinged creature.

Let me know if you find any I could use a new look. I basically don't turn the bathroom light on unless very necessary. I get around pretty good in the dark. :)

I've just walked the length of my apartment checking the walls and shelves. No mirror in the reception room, the withdrawing room, the bedroom, the landing, the bathroom, the utility room, the kitchen area, not a one. None at all. I have, my fingers tell me, a beard. Beyond that would be guesswork on my part though I note small children stare and adults flinch when I heave[1] into view. I offer these observations in the hope they might be useful, Lon, together with the opening chapter of Ecclesiastes.
