hello and welcome to the weird and wonderfull world of AA grumpy
i just had to post this one for your enjoyment
A MYSTERY horse-lover who tried to take a pony on a train has been caught on camera trying to get it treatment at a hospital and a drink in a pub.
Baffled people snapped the pony in a crowded bar and in a casualty department as the man led it by its reins.
RSPCA chiefs were yesterday called in to investigate how he was seen leading the horse to water — but could not let it drink in the pub in Wrexham, North Wales
Retired teacher George Cawley, 62, was amazed when the man led his pony into the crowded bar.
He said: "It was a crazy scene which caused uproar among customers.
"I was there with my wife and this guy just walked in with his pony in a very matter of fact way.
"But I must say the pony seemed relaxed and undistracted. Perhaps it is used to going into strange places."
Pub staff at the Elihu Yale bar in Wrexham asked the man — and pony — to leave.
Weatherspoons chain spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "On Friday the man did come into the pub whilst staff were serving other customers. Initially they were taken aback by seeing a horse but after about 20 seconds they told him to leave.
"On Saturday he tried to come in again with the horse but was stopped at the door. He was told he could not come in which he accepted."
But it was later seen tied up outside another pub in the town centre on its tour in Wrexham.
The horse was taken into the A&E department where the man had asked for treatment for the animal from a doctor.
The animal was caught on CCTV waiting in line at the reception desk at Wrexham Maelor Hospital's emergency department.
A health board spokesman added: "He was politely asked to leave the premises by the security guard and duly left, taking the pony with him."
It had first emerged the man tried to get on the train at Wrexham General station with the white pony in tow, but other sightings have since been revealed.
And later on the man went to the ticket office to ask the assistant: "Two tickets please - one for me and one for my horse."
The ticket officer explained that horses were not allowed on trains. But the man refused to take neigh for an answer and tried to travel on a Holyhead to Anglesey service with his four-legged companion.
Arriva Trains Wales said horses were not permitted on safety grounds.
