Hoppy, this has been going on for decades. We all know that so don't try to tell it's only Obamas Admin that has a problem.

Those White House administrations were too busy arming the Ayatollahs (Oliver North, you'll remember, illegally breaking the US arms embargo into post-Revolutionary Iran with a thousand missiles) and the Mujahideen (with, predictably enough, yet more missiles, assistance in drug-running and enough cash to replace every aircraft carrier on the planet with new). They didn't need to arm the drug cartels, their CIA was funding operations by running drugs into the USA on their own behalf if I remember right. Protection from law enforcement is even more valuable to a drugs cartel than arms. The CIA seems to be pre-eminent at arranging such things; given a President with the moral compass of a rabid stoat they turn into the Provisional Wing of the White House at the drop of a hat.

I've read that they are just on their way to Canada so why not just let them pass through? Although I suspect that story mnay have been a hoax.
