I'm truly blessed to live just 65 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The West Coast has some of the most pristine beaches anywhere. It seldom gets very hot so there are few souls silly enough to swim in this ocean. Citizens of Oregon are guaranteed, by law, free access to the beaches in Oregon. Property owners along the beaches must allow visitors a clear way to the water within 100 yards of the beach. That's a great law because it saves the beaches for the general public.
