Remember the Discover channel's shows about the cute little Meerkat village. They must have been using smoke and mirrors to portray them as cute cuddly critters. Help me put a title on this photo I took of a Meerkat at the Portland Zoo,

I was rather surprised to see on an episode of QI about how nasty they actually were, despite their 'cute' persona, when the question "How does the Merekat cross the road" came up. Apparently the push the least valuable of the pack(?) out first to check if it's safe. These least valuable being the elderly & the babies.
