A singular GOLD FISH, yes a GOLDFISH. Having owned a variety of pets over the years I have come to the conclusion that this is the perfect pet. Unlike a cat they don't shed hair on everything nor whine when they wish to be fed. They don't hump your leg like a horny male dog, shed or make irritating barking noises. They don't require daily changing of papers under their container like canaries, parakeets and parrots, not to mention the noisy chirping chittering and squawking.
The singular GOLDFISH as he swims gracefully in it's bowl presents a very quiet and soothing image. If you come home and see the GOLDFISH floating belly up because you forgot to feed it or change the water, no big deal, flush em down the toilet or feed it to the neighbor's cat and get another GOLDFISH. After all, you would have to be some kind of a real nut to get emotionally attached to a GOLDFISH. :wah:

I know of someone that 'pet sat' a goldfish for a week, it didn't survive long. The lady decided the fish looked cold so she boiled the kettle and poured the contents in the fish-bowl to warm it up... :-3
