Nick-names

This may have been done before but do you have a nickname and why?

My late Mother shall always be referred to as ' F '.

I am a Jr. and when I was a kid I was called Lonnie and dad was Lon. After leaving the nest I took on Lon. As a married adult many started calling me LT as a nickname.

When I was a kid, the bullies called me 'slug' because I was a slow learner.

I never learned when to shut up.

Does US practise encourage the creation of a III following a Jr?

I really like that practice.

I call my 7 year old nephew 'Henry the 7th' and he has no Idea of what his mad auntie Is talking about.

My first great grandchild (Boy) that was born in June was given my sur name as his first name.

My nephew was name Henry after my Mother Henrietta.
