I just went back and and looked at a thread I started a while back on the U.S. Position on Libya. I was amazed that there was over 8,000 viewingsl but not that many responders. I would love to know who the viewers were and where they are from. It also mkes me wonder if there are governmental agencies that monitor these posts.

It's very possible. It's my understanding that there are agencies that can pick up certain words and phrases that go out on the net iin an attempt to monitor potential terrorist threats.

Big Brother is watching ..!! sure they monitor sites, blogs, etc. I'm not sure FG is in the group they consider a threat.

Our posts? Only in passing, monitoring general communication channels and telephone calls - without a doubt.

As to the OP, I'm sure I'm included many times over in the 8654 but there are times when either I have no significant comment to make or I'm just too tired to make the comment that I ought to.

Well, I know I read a lot more threads than I respond to.

Sometimes I have no opinion worth offering. (Not that this always stops me from offering one.)

Sometimes the conversation has gone off on a tangent, and I don't want to get into it.

Sometimes Some times I am just reading before I'm off to bed, or to work.

Just wait till you get quoted in the NY Times for something like having seen a chicken cross the road. Then you'll really wonder who was reading all the important stuff.
