This is absolutley my favorite time of year. I love football, campfires, leaves changing color, cooler weather, chili.

I went to a bonfire last night with WA (my son) and it was so fun. We had pulled pork chili for the 1st time. I am going to ge the recipe from the lady that made it and post it. It is soooo good. I also have a heart healthy chili recipe I make that has all fresh ingredients.

Also, we are going to visit my in-laws in Kentucky next week and get to drive through the mountains of West Virginia. Its going to be gorgeous and Im taking my new camera!! So excited! We are spending one night there in the mountains so I should have plenty of time for a photo safari.

What does anyone else love about Fall????

Halloween's my favorite holiday even though I don't really celebrate it. Cooler weather, good smells in the air, bundling up in bed. Snow seems to come too early here, I'd like Autumn to last a little bit longer.

For real!! Its always too short. Did you see my post on FB about rolling myself in my down comforter is the best!!

I enjoy the shift in the air, when the first cool front rolls through, and the leaves start to change color.

Crisp mornings,

comfy afternoons on the porch swing,

the quickening of the breeze in the cool night air.

Elk bugles echoing through the valley,

and the first snowfall of the season.

I love Autumn also and has to be my favourite time of year. Many reasons but one that I bet no-one else thinks of :wah:

Tis this time of year the local Fox population get twinkles In their eye's and begin eyeing each other up In a 'I fancy you' type way.

They start to cavort In a provocative manner and a 'chase me chase me' kind of way.

Males will go head to head rearing up on their hind legs and locking front legs In a 'Look, I saw her first' kind of way.

A strange high pitched chattering emits from them although you have to be pretty close to them to hear this.

When that's all done, Rutting will begin and by April, Oscar will have new Fox cubs brought to her garden :-4

What does anyone else love about Fall????I've always loved the weather and it too reminds me of football(American) but the memory is one derived from when I used to play(Backyard football) The sort of mom and dad better have insurance type of thing. Played organized sports my entire life and was only then that I broke my leg.

Redskins your favorite team? Personally, I've started to prefer soccer over any sport. Carlos Tevez is actually showing just how similar all sports are but I suppose alot of my frustration is due to all of American sports being reduced to people whining and worried about their bling. I can't handle it anymore.

My husband and his family are longtime Redskins fans. Dont even get me started on professional sports. They are all crybabies pretty much. After that fiasco with Haynesworth Im pretty much done. I do love some college games though...Im a UGA Bulldog fan through and through...

Indian summer here today.............

I love summer....it is my favorite season. BUT I do love Autumn because we still have some warm days too! I am traveling up to PA the end of the month and hope to see the trees changing colors still....
