It's too few people by a factor of a million, and they're all in the wrong place.

If we leave we can multiply what we have now by a million and still be comfortable. Unless we leave, the population count is headed for zero. Worrying about the current rate of increase on one planet is a trivial distraction.

Practising Anarcho-Stalinist Christian, mate. I didn't just post an "if", I posted an "either ... or ...". I didn't leave any option unchecked.

Spot makes a point that we always seem to miss. We don't have any place to go should something happen to this pale blue dot we all live on and there is an asteroid out there with our name on it. There's no "if" involved here, only when and how we either choose to survive as a species or become extinct.

I would note that I held two world records once. Nobody in the entire history of humankind had ever entered the world with so high a rate of increase in population or so high a population figure on the display panel. I lost the records shortly after.

I currently hold one world record. Nobody as young as me has ever lived through so large an increase in population as I have. I doubt anyone can take that one from me, it's mine for life.

There have been around a half million generations of humans so far. The latest four amount to around a tenth of all the humans ever born. That might give an indication of how extreme the current population figure is.

It's only going to get worse.

You get bizarrer, or is that more bizarre.

Think both your 'records' need some explaining, if only for the dullards like me.

It's only going to get worse, hence the interest, and the post?

To me ?

My biggest fear ?

No......how to pay this months mortgage is more immediate to me.

It shouldn't affect me to much, but my children and grandchildren..........there's a flaw in that isn't there ?

The very next person born seconds after you then took that "Record", and that record was passed on instantly to the next person born...........etc etc etc......

Am I close ?

Is that you personally or all the others of your generation ?

1. Yes

2. It's just me, on the basis that I selected the exact moment to define the record. Move the moment and someone else would hold it. For that definition though, I'm still the world record holder and likely to remain so.

I'm jealous and I'm going to move the moment
