Emotionally Vague: A Graphical Survey of Feelings

It seems that Anger and Joy have somewhat similar outward ranges, Fear and Sadness constrict us and draw us tighter within ourselves and Love expands us beyond all of those. Love seems to go in all directions but primarily shoots upward ... elevating us, perhaps. No surprises at the results but very interesting in the commonality.

Interesting. It appears to me that most of the people in the study portrayed anger and love similarly in that they described it manifesting mostly in the head (anger more so).

We've had various discussions over the years on FG on the subject of emotion. To me, as one who views life from an evolutionary perspective, the results of the experiment are not surprising.

Fear: hits me hard in the lower abdomen after heart feels like it explodes

Joy: sort of a soaring feeling in my chest

Love: warmth all over

Anger: definitely head
