There are two reasons I have posted this story.
1) There Is a hunt for this yob and I hope they find him.
This Is the very reason I would not dream of leaving my cat out In the street even In the evenings. I don't even let my cat out of our garden and due to good fencing, he can't get over It to get Into the road.
As my cat Is pedigree, I also have a device on my gate that lets me know If anyone attempts to open It to get to him.... That's If they get past the dogs first.
I also have cctv camera's on the outside of my home.
A lot of precautions you may think but I would rather that than have my cat fall Into the hands of some arssewipe as In the article.
2) I recently posted a thread about animal abuse and Spot seemed to think that It was obscene that priority seemed to go to animals over humans.
As gmc rightly said In that thread, many animal abusers go on to abuse humans and what are the chances this piece of crap does the same?

My opinion about spot's opinion on animal rights? **** him.
If I ever caught someone doing this, I think I'd probably lose my mind and bash their god damn heads in. They don't deserve to live.

I certainly hope yob is found and put to trial and gets what he deserves. Perhaps that is to be spun around by his behind and I won't say much more; use your imagination.
I do volunteer work for an Animal Advocate organization and have been on a few rescue missions. It turns my stomach and much like snooze I get angry and want to lash out and bring the same pain to the deliverers. My fourth trip out we came upon a scene where a cat had been set on fire....myself and three others tried to extinguish the flames. Her ears were almost burnt off and she suffered third degree burns. She lived but was truly traumatized. The assailants were children! They had to hold me back as I was ready to beat the one who kept laughing about the ordeal....I had to stop going on rescue missions.
I don't understand it. These folks must be missing a gene or have brain damage.

Perhaps someone who knows could remind the thread what sentence Mary Bale received, since the mob-baiting expression "put to trial and gets what he deserves" has been brought up.
Mary Bale is mentioned on Wikipedia, in case anyone's unfamiliar with the name. She's on the Internet Vigilantism page, as will this prat be too eventually.

I've often pressed for priority to go to animals over humans. That's entirely consistent with wanting every last domesticated animal on the planet neutering before it can breed, I see the two statements as going hand in hand.
SnoozeAgain;1375213 wrote: My opinion about spot's opinion on animal rights? **** him. That's what you get by mixing ignorance and prejudice. We disagree over the value of the life of domestic animals. Setting that aside I imagine our position on animal rights is practically identical.
Extending animal rights to the artificial perverted travesties we've created for our own utility and amusement annoys me intensely, it distracts from the need for far stronger animal rights than currently exist. You'd presumably exclude mosquitoes or urban rats from the set of animals for which you'd want full individual rights recognised providing for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I happen to exclude domesticated animals as well.
There's a further animal right for all species to thrive permanently in a suitable environment, we could both sign up to identical wording on that too. It includes dogs and cats and horses and goats among others. I'd regard it as met once wild dogs and wild cats and wild horses and wild goats and the rest had those species rights recognised.

If I ever caught someone doing this, I think I'd probably lose my mind and bash their god damn heads in. They don't deserve to live. It's too bad people insist on using emotional torture on themselves and others for the sole purpose of constantly fighting with some and one-upping. That practice of emotional torture makes that individual no different than anyone who would physically torture any other living thing.
I haven't watched the video (or whatever) in the OP and see no reason to permit a person to manipulate my emotions like this. This person has serious issues. Why the ownership of this forum tolerates this is beyond me, but tolerate they do. The OP needs to get a grasp of herself.
If one would put aside this addiction of getting high on torture and read what Spot has posted with new eyes and a clear head, they'd see his position is perfectly reasonable. That doesn't mean anyone need agree with Spot, but, for crying out loud, give this constant attacking a rest. Glad I'm on ignore.

You see what happens when the Spot Wannabe comes off Ignore? :wah: As JJ put It, you're flitting In and out like an elderly homeless bat with nothing to actually say.
Maybe If I write this very slowly, you may finally be able to grasp the concept of a forum.
A forum Is here for all different people from all walks of life with different Interests. Given the amount of members who posted on my thread re: animal abuse, this should give any normal person the Indication that the subject Is of Interest. There-fore, one can safely assume that other members would have an Interest In two stories that are headline news right now In England even making their way onto prime TV news channels.
Now to your whining again that I have manipulated your emotions.... A forum Is based around varied categories and topics. If you don't like the categories nor the subject, then It's very simple, you simply do not open that thread on that topic. What you choose to do Is come Into a thread that you state has no Interest to you, then stamp your childish little feet at the content whilst climbing so far up Spot's rectum, you are In danger of getting stuck In his teeth.
There Is a big difference between you and Spot here. Whilst I disagree with most Spot says and whilst I may even resort to mutual Insults with him, I do actually have a respect for his opinion and knowledge on some subjects. There has even been occassions when Spot and I have had an Intelligent debate... go to thread ' Jockey's whip ban'. There are even odd occassions where I will agree with Spot. You however, offer nothing In the way of debate. This forum Is littered with your whining wanting threads shut down, split or merely coming In to support Spot when he certainly needs no help from you and why you Imagine he does, Is an Issue that you certainly need some professional help with.
The purpose of posting any thread Is to post something that Is believed to be of Interest and engage other members to come here and post.. That Is the thing you are constantly missing on this forum. How many post on you threads? How many quote you? Or shall we go back to the days of moderators posting threads to ask why no-one Is posting and we saw just 4 posts made In two days?
Now to the actual subject of the thread. Given the amount of members who posted on my thread re: animal abuse, you are clearly In the minority. You seem to posses a Hitleresque quality In an attempt to dictate what is posted here.
What this thread has done, Is engage members Into debate, something you are Incapable of. You have nothing to contribute on the subject matter of the thread which Is a subject that happens to be headline news In England. If anyone Is guilty of stirring the pot, It is you with your ridiculous claims that your feelings are hurt b the content.

Why did you take me off ignore? And maybe you can get past the adolescent name calling. You've got serious anger issues, Oscar, and that's apparently due to the emotional torture you visit on yourself. That's unfortunate because it obscures your intelligence, and you are intelligent. You seem to have a need to compare yourself to Spot and perhaps that's due to your lack of self-respect, maybe it's due to something else. Too bad you enjoy doing this to yourself.

It was twenty years before I saw the clip of the Challenger explosion as opposed to still photos and to a large extent I wish I'd stuck by my original intention of never seeing it. It was seven years before I watched either of the twin towers collapse. Some of us quite simply don't want imagery like that haunting our minds.
I think my choice not to watch disaster events was formed when I first saw a clip, in my early twenties, of bulldozers filling mass graves after a genocidal calamity. Your cat torturer and the rest is an extension of the same concept.

Then there are the many threads about Americans, police and military members that he's crapped on. Animal abuse being inconsequential is just a small part of his milieu.

When one questions the life of another, one Invariably has no life themself. You know, Oscar, you've decided that sensationalism is the key to forum participation, but all sensationalism does is attract more people with sensationalist yearnings and they usually make poor neighbors. I'm not in competition with you to see who can cause more emotional responses from others in order to drive up post counts. I've been there and done that.
I choose FG because there are a few people here whom I respect and wish to converse, or, on occasion, debate with. There are other forums out there that are much more active, but I enjoy the intellectual stimulation and learning I receive from some members here, and I am also encouraged by a few new members who add quality focused content to the site.

Why would I not? What reason do you have for asking the question?
Have I increased the number of domestic farm animals by politely accepting what's offered? I think not. If you feel I have then do please explain your reason for thinking it, but I can't see any likely way in which I have.
I'd be delighted if commercial farming were made illegal worldwide. That, I think, is my end-game, that's my solution. Meanwhile, not adding to the number of domestic farm animals brought into the world is my modest contribution while pressing for abolition.

Eating domesticated farm animals however modest leads to a demand. If you multiply your modest consumption by one million, there you have a demand to produce more.
Producing more thins out the gene pool of the wild species according to you.

The number of beasts slaughtered is no different whether I eat the portion prepared or not. Consuming it or throwing it away has already killed the beast. If asked beforehand, or eating out, I express a preference for a vegetarian meal which is nearly always satisfied - I can think of no instance where it's not been. I have not stimulated demand by so much as an ounce of meat for decades.

Cobblers old boy.
Consuming or throwing away an already killed beast Is still creating a demand simply because someone somewhere knows that animal has been used, albiet by a variety of reasons. If there Is usage, this tells the farmer and the supermarket that there Is usage and warrants the need to produce more.
If an animal was killed and there was absolutely no usage whatsoever either by meat, by products or throwing It In the bin, why would they produce more?
As I said, take your modest usage and another million of the populations modest usage and you have a demand.
If there Is no demand, there Is no need for the animal you consume modestly to be killed In the first place,
