Mayan 2012 Apocalypse Prediction Might Have Been Mistranslated | Death and Taxes

Well, good ... finally a positive spin on this dismal prediction that's been making the rounds for the last few years. I'm so confident that it won't happen that I'm going to throw caution to the wind and renew some magazines for 3 years instead of just 1 ... how's that for living on the edge?? :yh_wink

I often wonder how many people who believe in the 2012 End Of The World As We Know It are reading news of the Occupy Movement and wondering what the heck they're on about. I'm sure it will take at least 3 years to complete and your magazines are probably safe in the meantime unless they're made by Chinese prison labour.

There was a member here (SixYearsLeft? Something like that) whose entire online existence seemed to revolve around 2012 doomsday, crop circles and men in white coats outside his house. I bet this new discovery is a disappoint.

Whatever happened to him anyway?

Well, he'd be Two now, right? He's probably forgot how to write. ;)

I think that's Ian, isn't he? He came back for awhile then dropped again.

That's a very strong possibility.

The Mayans never predicted an end to the world, they just didn't make a calendar that far ahead, because they didn't need one yet.

sorry the world can't end in 2012 ....we're expecting another weather event in Vic to mimic the apocalypse of the 2009 fires .... I'm sorry but it's all on schedule . But then again we're about to sell uranium to India hhhhmmm (they havent and refuse to sign a treaty to only use it for good instead of evil .) oh well

You can kind of imagine the conversation can't you ......" I'm bored with this, shouldn't we be investigating something else? " "Yeah okay lets work on famine and drought" ........OOPS to late .
