A plastic bag fluttered to the floor across the room but what I saw was a flimsy object placed out of equilibrium in a precarious place finally succumbing to gravity. I wished I could figure out the exact placement that will duplicate the result and watch it slowly make its fall to see the stages of the event. Gravity is kind of cool. If nothing else, it's dependable.

At a guess the exact position is less critical than the position relative to the local sources of drafts. Gravity is very dependable and does not wait for too long before acting.

Yes, gravity is very dependable-have used it often to make sure I fall on my rear and not another part of my body.
