We used to tell folks if they were having words in a thread. Take it to the pms so as to not mess up the thread.
We used to see a thread going off topic some way, we would go in and steer it back on topic. We certainly did not join in on the assault.
But the worst of all this is a PRIVATE messages being posted on the open board......there must be a rule aganist that somewhere!
I always assumed moderaters were supposed to be impartial and not let their own dislike of a person color their judgement...........if you cant do that, then maybe you don;t need to be a moderator.
I have always loved you guys......I used to be one of you........but I have to say, today I am ashamed of you.
It comes down to this, we've got pm's being posted on the open board without so much as a by your leave........we've got threads going off every which way.........and we've got moderators joining in on attacks on people..........who have broken no rules as far as I know, but are still being punished for past things that are over and done.
This is not the place I used to know and love........and it's not a place I want to be at the moment..........so goodbye, goodluck

Just thought I'd point out, to be fair, It was not all of the moderators attacking. Many mods had no part In It at all.

A/C mentioned members, not moderators... both begin with an m I guess.
I was the only mod involved, no one's reported anything, shall I go do it then let the general membership decide what to do with me.
Sorry you feel the need to leave again Hope, but at least you'll have pleased JJ for your loyalty.

Something tells me that I am soon to be forced to read another thread I had no interest in...:-1
Don't suppose you could slip me the crib notes on this issue, save me some time and energy?:guitarist
Tell ya what........ gotta head out and clean up the dog poop in the yard, but I'll stop back in a bit for an update and to perform my moderate duties to the best of my abilities.
Although, to be honest, I can't imagine a forum garden where JJ, Hope or Hoppy wasn't leaving in a huff.

You're on the defensive again Bettyness. I wasn't having a pop at you or anyone else here who is a moderator. I just thought It fair to point out that not all moderators contributed to the thread In question last night.

So JJ was given access after being banned just In order to try to humiliate and attack him ?
Let me recount an event In my life for you Spot......
Approx 16 years ago I was a trouble shooter for a sales company of 42 branches.
Each branch had different departments but the over-all control was In the hands of the General sales manager.
I get sent to the Gatwick branch where they were In the red and morale was lower than a skunks anal gland.
Usually, It would take me around a week to work out which department was at fault and how to put It right.
The general sales manager at Gatwick was a guy called Dave. Nice enough fella but he did think he was the dogs bollocks.
I quickly earned that the tele sales department hasd seen 13 tele sales managers In just 12 months. The department had also lost around 60 tele canvassers In that time.
The door canvassing department was pissed off because tele sales were producing few leads so all the pressure was on them.
The sales reps were walking out due to lack of leads.
I spent my first day quietly observing and at the end of business, Dave and I sat down with a cup of tea.
So ? he said,,,, what do you think the problem Is here?
My reply was ' The branch has lost 13 tele sales managers, approx 60 tele sales staff, door canvassers and sales reps all In 12 months.......... Yet.... YOU.... are still here.
I put my theory to my boss, Dave was transferred and within 6 months, the branch was In profit.
Do you catch my drift Spot?

I'll tell you who smells of cat whizz right now.......... ME
My very large, very stupid and very clumsey cat Oscar has had need to be supplied with a litter tray tonight as It's so cold outside. He's had a massive long pee In the tray but because he's a Persian and has a very long coat, he's sat In It and trodden In It.
I cleaned him up only for my husband to say... you smell of cat piss now.

Perhaps you could get to the bottom of it at the other place.
My guess would be that spot tends to want to help when he sees ineptitude, even if helping isn't in his best interests.

By the way Snooze, Pant's Is fine.... what a great girl she Is.
Clancy's doing a roaring business providing criminal mock up's for the British Police I understand. Apparently, he's very good at It.

It's curious. I'm thinking that some people ought not to refer to people they haven't met in person.
