Due to time difference I am watching the "Oscars" at 11:30 AM Monday here in New Zealand. Anyone else watching? Any predictions?

Leave NZ Friday the 2nd to return to California. Despite the 12 1/2 hour flight I will get back on 2nd as well.

I'm definitely watching lon! No predictions, as I generally wait to see movies on HBO, at least 6months after they were nominated for oscars. But I love the show & have been watching since forever. I especially love seeing the fashions, that's always a great delight for me. And Billy Crystal will do a good job. So, I'm looking forward to the show. I'll think of you in New Zealand, how exciting!!

Love to hear about your travel adventures, lucky man! :-)

Billy Crystal was a good choice for M Ceeing the show and that's the main reason I am watching it live.

I have only seen four of the nominated films, all of which I enjoyed. The "Iron Lady" and "The Desendants", "War Horse", "Money Ball", so I can't really offer any predictions.

I have several friends nominated in the Sound Editing and

Sound Mixing categories so I'm eagerly awaiting those

awards.

Let's hear it for Gary Rydstrom, Gary Summers, Tom Johnson

and Richard Hymns... either for War Horse or Transformers...

Did anyone catch why Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez cracked up announcing the winner. I looked away and think I missed what chance they took.

They were playing some sort of game with the audience, either they turned around to adjust J-Lo's dress, or were just showing their A$$. I missed the comment they made when they turned around but it got a laugh.

The Cirque du Soliel act was the thing I was most impressed with.

Yeah... seems they were just diva mugging with their behinds. Not unlike Angelina Jolie who looked stunning until she felt the need to dramatically stick out her leg for the entire presentation.

At least Diaz had the honesty to admit she was taking a chance. I think the audience was laughing because J-Lo and Diaz started laughing like crazed schoolgirl bimbos.

Cirque de Soliel were brilliant! Chris Rock's explanation of how easy it is to voice over animation cracked me up too.
