I say.

Not sure If I approve.

You know, in a few hundred years the archaeologists will resurvey the site and geophys will detect evidence of the rider.

This will be accepted as proof positive that neolithic man had ritual races from Stonehenge to Uffington via Avebury and that Saxon horse worship was a continuation of the tradition.

Odd how history works :-)

I originally thought it was a photoshopped image.

Then thought again when Bryn replied, can't believe this isn't criminal, and my ghast was flabbered, why was there no police involved ? How can any body do a thing like this to a national treasure ?

But fear not, it was purely a publicity gimmick, very clever, didn't hurt anybody and should get national coverage...... genius.

The artwork was pinned to the ground using tiny tent pegs and later removed.

I had assumed that it was not for real - they would have been crucified if it was.
