Out of Interest, who pays attention to those who have cried wolf to get attention many times before?

I'm strangely unmoved by this story. I'm sure that says something terrible about me but in my defense and the defense of her 1000+ facebook "friends", there are more people that lie online than not. You'd be in a state of hysteria if you believed everything you read.

A thousand "friends". Sigh.

Actually I think what this girl is doing is equivalent to standing on a public bridge and shouting ..."I'm gunna jump" . Some do ...some dont .

Ultimately, if someone takes their life it's their decision not the fault of someone who didn't listen to them. It's a rather shitty world. Some make it and some don't. If I have a friend sitting at my kitchen table telling me their going to off themselves I have an opportunity to discuss that decision with them. If they're going to post it online and wait to see if anyone "likes" it... they've chosen the wrong venue.
